Lake of the Ozarks: Shopping
Many people go to the Lake of the Ozarks for water sports such as fishing, boating and swimming. Many of these same people find the lake-region nightlife a great way to finish the day. But what if, during a lengthy stay, some family members want to relax and take a stroll through a mall? Maybe some visitors would like to see if they can find a bargain in the flea market or souvenir shop. What then?
Have no fear. There are plenty of opportunities for great Lake of the Ozarks shopping, no matter what the interests of family members and friends. In fact, in the last couple of decades, shopping in the lake region has become as much an attraction as many of the more traditional activities. Take the Factory Outlet Village as an example. It is recognized as the largest outlet mall in Missouri. More than 100 stores bring items to you direct from the factory. People regularly find name brands at very low prices (sometimes 50 percent to 70 percent off).
If antiques, collectibles and curiosities are more your style, there are dozens of antique stores, stores featuring collectibles and flea markets that may have just the rare item you're looking for. You might even find the men's tungsten wedding bands that you wanted for your wedding.Of course, many of the shops and retail stores in the Bagnell Dam area focus on Ozarks-related items and souvenirs. Here's a partial list of some items that are available within a few miles of the lake: appliances; candles; carpets and draperies; jewelry, sporting goods and home-decorating items.
Plenty of folks find what they are looking for at Stone Crest Mall in Osage Beach. For more than 25 years this shopping center has been a destination for shoppers of all persuasions. If you are looking for a good restaurant, up-to-date clothing, exercise equipment or reading material, Stone Crest Mall may have it. Visitors often include one of the fairs, festivals and other seasonal activities held at the mall.
As you head out on your shopping expedition, consider one of these antique stops: Antique Memories, Antique Treasures, Blast From The Past, Molly's Antiques, Swinging Bridge Antiques etc. Don't forget the outdoor items you'll need in the lake region. There are several quality suppliers of fishing, boating and swimming items, all with the experience required to get you outfitted for an enjoyable stay near the lake. When it comes to Lake of the Ozarks shopping just head out in any direction or ask someone where your "favorite" store is. Chances are you're not far from what you need.
Osage Beach Premium Outlets: Shopping
